Description
Description
A plantain tree was in front of the apartment and we decided to keep it. First reason was, it is a residential building, a place to live and comfort and that tree has also lived there for years and we did not want to construct our building on ruins of the other alive creatures; so the tree had to be preserved. Second reason was the birds that built their nest on the foliage of tree and from the years ago it was their habitat. The sixth superior architecture pillar is openness, the other effective factor on this concept. Based on the first pillar of superior architecture (be observer) which indicates to study all the effective factors and then begin the design process, and according to the observations, tree foliage inspired the concept of the branches in this plan. Keeping the tree changed volume and facade of the building. In addition to effect on the facade of the building, this tree blocked almost half of the windows, so we decided to rotate the façade in order to provide space for tree and ability to have larger windows as well.
Also the shape of the branches inspired the details of the facade and also all parts of design furniture, lighting, interior design, also follow the main concept. based on seventh pillar of superior architecture descriptions: “architectural design must be dynamic and free of any stability and stagnation”. Based on all mentioned above, water and light were the main bases of design. Architecture, interior design and roof area are in complete harmony of material, form, volume and circulation; and the main concept harmonized all building sections.
